1. Clogged Sink and Toilet



For simple clogs, a plunger will usually work. Pour boiling water into the drain to help soften the blockade, and then give the plunger a few pumps. For more stubborn blockades, a drain snake (or an improvised wire with a hooked end) may be needed to “fish out” the culprit. Letting the sink or toilet stand overnight also helps loosen the obstruction.
