Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake served with Marinated Strawberries and Vanilla Ice Cream


Want something warm and decadent for dessert? This recipe for warm chocolate truffle cake may not be short and simple, but effort will all be worth it when you taste the results!

Ingredients:

For Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake:
240grams melted Dark Chocolate Couverture
170grams Unsalted Butter, Melted
122grams Confectioners Sugar, Sifted
73grams Cake Flour, Sifted
5 Eggs

For Marinated Strawberries:
400grams Fresh Strawberries
150grams Strawberry Coulis
30grams Grand Marnier

For Decoration:
Vanilla Ice Cream
Whipped Cream or non-dairy cream
Brandy Snap Basket
Bianca Powder for dusting
Mint Leaves

Mise en Place:
1. Combine four parts butter and one part of flour and stir until smooth.
2. Brush ramekin dish with butter-flour mixture and slightly coat with flour. Set aside.
3. Preheat oven to 200˚C
4. Remove the stem of the strawberries and wash and sanitize, pat dry with clean towel.
5. Cut strawberries in half and mix with strawberry coulis and Grand marnier. Cover and refrigerate.

Method:
1. Combine sifted cake flour and confectioners sugar together, stir to incorporate
2. Mix all ingredients until smooth, without creating bubbles.
3. Pipe into prepared molds, and then refrigerate until ready to bake.
4. Bake for about 7 to 8 minutes, check by inserting tooth pick in the middle, cake must be liquid in the middle, un-mold direct on plate and serve hot.
