Has Age Altered Your Dating Requirements?
Have you ever wondered if your dating requirements change in your 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s? WMN got three single women from different professional backgrounds to dish out what’s important to them when it comes to their ideal man’s age range, salary, looks, personality, and career.
By Monina Eugenio
The Roaring 20’s
Fresh, young, and full of life! When you’re in your 20’s, you feel like the world is at your fingertips! 22-year-old Annisa who works as an officer-in-charge of operations answers that among the given qualifiers, what’s most important to her are:
1. Personality
2. Looks
3. Age range
4. Career
5. Salary

The Daring 30’s:
If personality tops a 20 something’s search for the man of her dreams, 34-year-old teacher Vhec shares that age range tops her list. Here's her ranking:
1. Age range
2. Personality
3. Career
4. Salary
5. Looks

Still Hot 40’s
If Vhec thinks age range is the most important for her, then she’s on the same boat as 40-year-old Techi! A sales trainer and freelance writer, Techi ranks our categories this way:
1. Age range
2. Salary
3. Looks
4. Personality
5. Career

We're not saying that all girls in their 20's, 30's, and 40's think this way, but this sure was an interesting peek into women's preferences! Based on our interviews, it seems that the salary of a significant other gets more important as one gets older, and so does age range. It's the opposite for personality: it goes down the priority ladder as a woman gets to her 40s. Of course, we also have to take into consideration the different relationship hurdles we’ve encountered which play a huge role when singling out what we really look for in a potential mate. But don’t become overly picky though, that nerdy guy who seems to take an interest in you maybe your Mr. Right!

In my own opinion, 20s ladies are still on a post-teen idealism. We still see looks as our first requirement BUT..the guy has to have a good career, too. Like in my case, I have to know where... More

I feel like career and salary are nearly the same thing so I would rank it as personality first, career +salary second, looks third, and age last. More
