2-in-1 Local Foundation: As Good as Imported?
Most modern Filipinas patronize imported makeup, believing that these brands will definitely deliver. But have you ever stopped to take a second look at what our local brands have to offer? On this week’s Road Tested, three women give three local 2-in-1 foundations a try!

Verdict:
If you’re on a really tight budget, Fashion 21’s Two Way Cake with Tea Tree Oil (P185) is a good option if you want medium, daily coverage.
For P210, Ever Bilena’s powder foundation suits women on the go, since there’s barely a need to reapply. If you have an additional P28 to spend, why not go with Nichido’s Powder Plus Foundation? It gives that matte coverage most Pinays want, especially in our humid weather. For the price, we’d have to say it’s not so bad looking either, especially with its complementary pouch.
Let’s face it, times are tough. But your makeup kit doesn’t have to suffer just because you lack the funds for that expensive two-way foundation you’ve been eyeing. Keep your options open, especially since our local makeup brands offer the same quality as the more expensive foreign brands. And hey, isn’t it about time we supported our locally made products?
